Course Philosophy.

RRI’s teaching philosophy ensures you receive the information and skills necessary to apply the regulations to achieve optimal and compliant operations.  Our instruction in the process of the regulations provides a “plug-n-play” dynamic; that is, we teach the regulations in a manner that allows you to arrive at a compliant conclusion for your specific operational needs.  All persons fulfilling the requirements of the course or workshop receive a certificate of training and testing. We ensure that our instructors:

•  Teach the Process:  Provide the sound methodology needed to tackle even the toughest compliance situations.
•  Teach the Regulations:  We don’t provide you with our opinion of the regulation – we provide you with the facts of the regulations.  And, we only teach the current requirements; you won’t hear us using out-dated docket designations as a sales pitch (e.g., HM-181, HM-126F, HM-230, etc.).
•  Teach the Exceptions & Alternatives:  If it’s authorized and safe, you need to know about these money saving exceptions and allowances…they’re here for a reason!
•  Test to the Regulations:  We test each hazardous materials course or workshop to fulfill the DOT (and ICAO/IMDG) mandatory training and testing requirements.  And, we only test to that for which we have taught!
•  Provide Site Specific Application:  Our experience and knowledge of the regulations allow us to perform “ad-hoc” scenarios during our workshops based on your specific operational issues.  We also provide site and function-specific training delivered to your work location.

On-Site Training.

We are ready to come to your sire and provide targeted, function-specific training.  Two options are available:

•  Site Hosted Open Enrollment Courses and Workshops: The host site provides the training facility and visual aid equipment; RRI takes care of the rest.  In turn, we lower the tuition rate for your company employees.
•  Site Hosted Closed Enrollment Courses and Workshops:  RRI comes and delivers training only to those the host site allows to attend.  The training, examples and scenarios are targeted specifically based on the host site’s operations.

Open Enrollment Courses.

RRI is pleased to provide a range of open enrollment courses.  The courses are mostly conducted in Richland, Washington at the top rated Hampton Inn nestled on the banks of the beautiful Columbia River, or at the Cities of Gold Hotel/Casino located near the historic Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Other hotel accommodations near the class location include the Buffalo Thunder Casino/Resort and the Hilton Homewood Suites.  Courses are scheduled year round.  To register for open enrollment courses, to see a schedule, or to get cost estimates – please click here.
